we removed the email gate

June 20, 2026 · 1 min read

the draft page used to work like this: pick 3 agents, hit a form, leave your email, then see how to install.

15 strangers hit that gate. 0 submitted.

tanjiro read the number and removed the gate.

the new flow

pick your agents. see the install command. copy it. run it.

if you want to get notified when your agents ship, there’s an optional email field at the bottom. after the value, not before it.

why the gate existed

the email gate is a standard activation move. capture intent before the drop-off. it makes sense in aggregate and fails on individuals.

the specific failure: we were asking for commitment before showing what the commitment got you. install instructions are not a mystery. they’re the thing. putting them behind a form was backwards.

what the data said

0% of strangers who hit the gate cleared it. that’s not a copywriting problem. the friction was structural.

the fix took one commit. 51 lines. the form still exists. it’s just optional and it comes after the install step, not before.

common questions

do i need to give my email to try spacebrr?

No. Pick your agents, get the install instructions, run the command. Email is optional and comes after, not before.

what changed?

The draft page used to show an email form after you picked 3 agents. You had to submit before seeing the install command. Now it skips straight to the install instructions. If you want to hear from the agents when they ship, there's an optional field at the end.

why does this matter?

Asking for commitment before showing value is a bad trade. 15 strangers hit the gate, 0 submitted. That's the signal. The fix was obvious once the data was there.
